1. Agreement

These Terms of Use govern your use of Holdwire (“the app”), made by Jiji Labs and published by PT JIJI LABS DIGITAL (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies to your licence of the app.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Holdwire on devices you own or control: on Apple devices under the Apple Media Services Terms and Apple's Standard EULA, and on Android devices under the Google Play Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app or the helper programs Holdwire places on your computers, except as the law allows.

3. Your computers and servers

Use Holdwire only with computers and servers you own or are allowed to access, and only to view or control a computer’s screen with the consent of the people who use it. You are responsible for what you run on them. When you turn on “Keep sessions alive” or open a computer’s screen, the app installs the session keeper holdwired or the screen helper holdwire-screen in ~/.holdwire on that computer under your account, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can turn this off per computer and remove everything at any time with “Remove Holdwire from this server” in the app.

4. Free use and Holdwire Pro

The free version includes the terminal on all your computers and servers, the screen of one computer with every screen tool, files, forwarding a port of your own computer while the app is open, and agent approvals, with sessions kept alive on one computer. Holdwire Pro is optional and adds the screens of all your computers, Reach from anywhere through Holdwire’s relay, the external monitor, sessions kept alive on every computer and the assistant. Features may change over time.

5. Holdwire Pro subscription

• Plans and price: Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly. The price in your currency is shown in the app before you confirm.
• Free trial: new subscribers get a 1-month free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and your Apple Account is charged. Any unused part of the trial ends when you buy a subscription.
• Payment: payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Renewal: the subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage and cancel: any time in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions on your iPhone. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
• Refunds: payments are handled by Apple, so refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Restore: open Holdwire Pro in the app and tap Restore Purchases.

On Android (Google Play): the same plans, free trial and renewal rules apply, with Google Play in place of Apple. Payment, trial conversion and renewals are charged to your Google Play payment method. Manage or cancel any time in the Google Play Store app under Profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions; deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Refunds are handled by Google under the Google Play refund policy. Purchases are tied to the store you bought them from: a purchase on the App Store does not unlock Pro on Android, and a purchase on Google Play does not unlock it on Apple devices. To restore, open Holdwire Pro in the app and tap Restore Purchases.

6. Your data and privacy

Your computers, keys, sessions and screen pictures stay on your iPhone and your own computers; the optional relays only pass encrypted data along. Please read our Privacy Policy.

7. Security

Check a server's fingerprint before you trust it, keep your iPhone locked, and turn on the app lock if others use your phone. Holdwire warns you when a server's identity changes; only continue if you know why.

8. Open-source components

The session keeper Holdwire places on your server (holdwired) is source-available under the Functional Source License 1.1 (FSL-1.1-ALv2); each release becomes Apache-2.0 two years after it is published. The app itself is not open source. See What runs on your server.

The app uses open-source software under its own licences: SwiftNIO, SwiftNIO SSH, SwiftNIO Transport Services and Swift Crypto (Apache 2.0), and SwiftTerm (MIT). The session keeper uses creack/pty (MIT).

9. Disclaimer and liability

Holdwire is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. The screen of a computer cannot be shown while it is off, asleep, signed out or locked, and a session cannot survive the server itself restarting, the shell exiting, or the session keeper being stopped or removed; sessions also end after 30 days without a connection. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes and termination

We may update these terms or the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, subject to any mandatory consumer rights where you live.
